Introducing Alliance Logistics
I’m Mark Robinson, founder of Alliance Logistics and previously the founder of Acclaim Logistics.
My journey in logistics began back in 1993 when I opened the doors to Acclaim with just two vans, a lot of determination, and a vision for what the business could become. Over the next 30 years, with the help of an incredible team, we built something truly special — a company turning over £8 million a year, running more than 50 trucks, and supported by over 70 dedicated employees.
We worked hard, made smart decisions, and adapted to an ever-changing industry. In 2022, I sold Acclaim, proud of what we’d achieved and grateful for everyone who was part of the journey.
Now, having founded Alliance Logistics, I’m taking all that experience and starting fresh — with a renewed focus on quality, service, and building lasting partnerships. Alliance isn’t just about moving goods. It’s about doing things right, being there for our customers, and setting the standard for what great logistics should look like.

My Journey to Alliance Logistics
1993
I founded Acclaim Logistics, and we opened our first site at Third Avenue, Millbrook, Southampton as a member of the APEX Parcel Network.
1994
Launched our Sameday Delivery Service, meeting urgent delivery needs across the region.
1999
Joined UK Pallets, expanding our network and capabilities.
2002
Became a member of APC Overnight, strengthening our overnight delivery offering.
2013
Began focusing specifically on the Isle of Wight, and grew our IOW consolidation business substantially.
2014
Expanded into Unit B, Griffin Industrial Estate, Totton to support our growing operations.
2014
Joined Palletways, giving us wider pallet distribution reach.
2015
Took on Unit C, Griffin Industrial Estate, to keep up with increasing IOW and storage demands.
2016
Shifted focus to Haulage, growing that part of the business in preparation for our ERTS Facility. This move allowed us to keep our fleet on the road 24/7.
2016
Partnered with Red Funnel and became their Official Parcel Partner – a milestone I’m especially proud of.
2022
After nearly three decades, I sold Acclaim Logistics, closing one chapter and opening the door to the next.
